Lost Love
Incognito she went alone
It was time to atone
The truth to be bared
Bared to the bone
Her life in stagnation
She would lay the foundation
No longer to be ignored
Her purpose underscored
In the library with falsehood
The internet was her wallboard
With the anonymity provided
By fake email she recited
To the newsroom she did right
Of a long-forgotten blight
Her memory could not erase
The memory of that day
The horror she did witness
Had been so so vicious
She is asleep be quiet
Go to bed be silent
Her breath the glass did steam
She gazed in a silent scream
The sight never left her
She could not control the dream
Always afraid she had never spoken
As her youth passed in fear
Inwards daily she retreated
Of love she had never been treated
The text she wrote was harrowing
She spoke of darkness and digging
Where her mother lay now revealed
To the editor she was appealing
She would prefer anonymity
Her location he did not know
She hoped it could remain so
If not, she would face her foe
And so it was done
The process had begun
Love had been missed day after day
Now she hoped her father would pay
